Oh dear, staff pulling sickies on a day like today? I suppose that's what you get when you employ such young girls, pay them peanuts then overwork them as they have been this week.

the amount of staff who were late for work on 2 stub day was ridiculous. we were just watching them come into the kop after being dropped off, they were like 15-20 minutes late

The thing is its easy to assume they were arriving late. It could be that they were not due on duty until later.

Its easy to understand people frustrations, after all they expect to get what they want when they want it. problem is life's not like that. I think overall the club and t/o staff have done a magnificent job. :applause:

Your an idiot mate, you we`re told as early as 4.00am that that ticket office wouldn`t open, i know cuz i was streching my legs and having a wonder around. But you people just didn`t wanna hear it (basically cuz you didn`t want to go and join the other much larger que) you then had a moan and got bought to our ticket office, surely if you see 50 people out side that office and 4000 outside the Kop one that must of rang a few bells, and personaly like many many others i would of put ya to the back of the correct que and told ya not to be so childish and listen.

so when the club announce at 8am garrison lane will be open then at 9am they say it will open then at 9.25am a member of staff comes along and says sorry we wont be opening this up because of lack of staff but you will all be seen they were lying then :LMAO: :LMAO:
even though i was in the garrison lane queue and was on my way home with my ticket in hand at 10am what time did you get yours **thumbup

Not a critisism (I have no reason for one) but an observation.

I seem to remember when Blues have distributed tickets for big matches before - and long before the days of modern media sales (phone, on-line etc.) when we ALL had to queue up, they sold tickets by having separate windows for different prices/blocks etc.

Just a thought that the ticket office may wish to consider in their post-sales wash-up meetings ?

On another thread people are suggesting we should bring in portakabins etc for ticket sales - we don't need to - we've got two ticket offices already it's just that 2 people not turning up for work meant one couldn't open. I think Blues made the best of a bad job in the end by doing what they did with the Garrison Lane queue -but there's x million people out of work - surely they could have employed a few extra staff as cover for a couple of days/weeks.

And why couldn't tickets be sold from the club shop? That would be 3 outlets.

They aren't linked up to the database in the club shop so wouldn't have been able to check client ref/booking history and put on details of tickets bought against the client ref.

It was all hands on deck with club shop staff manning the ticket office tills. Do people really think that Blues have that many ticket office staff?

Whatever we do there are two facts:

1. We can't get enough tickets
2. People will moan and be upset

was a bit of techinical balls up at ticket office with us today.

Bought THREE tickets for the Brentford game in my Name and Ref. and had one for the villa in my mates name. so was entitled to four.

My two sons had lost there brentford stubs luckly i kepted mine and thought it would be ok as it had my ref number on the stub and they could trace it on the system

got there even though my client ref number on my Brentford Stub there was no history on my booking of the game :S

got my tickets in the end.

I cannot believe this person..I am one of those that waited at Garrisson Lane and got there at 4am, I can tell you there was not one whisper from anyone that it had just been anounced that it would not open, I'm sure people would have been wandering around to the main queue if that was the case, word would have quickly spread.

If the selling arrangements are being reviewed can I ask why the Sheffield Wednesday programme, which was giving out dated information for Stubs 2 and 1 sales, was referred to by the half time stadium announcer as the place to refer to for selling arrangements? I left confused having already been aware that the internet online sales and ticketmaster dedicated number were no longer available as an option to buy from updated information on the official site. Upon originally reading the programme I was of the impression it was just a deadline error but when at half time it was suggested it was the place to refer to for info I was not so sure.

It could only happen at Blues,After getting to the ground at 3 am and looking at a very big queue my brother and myself did what people advised on this forum and went to the garrison lane office,Result only about 20 people in a queue. Fantastic we were informed on the office Blues web site (This one ) the office will open at eight. As the night went on a few more people came to join the queue and we had some great banter with some smashing people. As it got close to eight nothing,Nine came and went Nothing,Some people asked is it even going to open,In simple terms if it was not going to open just employ someone to write a little message along the lines THIS OFFICE NOT OPEN TODAY .Ok i know this would have took a long time to do and cost the club £1.99p to print but at least it would be thinking of the supporters for once. At around ten o'clock a few stewards who were very nice came out with red faces and told the now 300-500 that we would be taken for a tour of the ground (Free) to go and queue for another hour to then be led to join (4 at a time ) the main queue. The stewards were all fantastic people as were all the very pi**ed of fans. We were informed by the stewards the office WAS due to open but the staff didn't turn up for work,Would it have took long to put a couple of staff in the garrison office to keep everyone happy. I understand this is Birmingham City and after been a supporter for 45 years i know we NEVER get things right. Thank god it is only once in a blue moon we ever get to finals but it is a reason we can never be a BIG or well run club. If you were one of the first 50 in the garrison lane queue thanks for keeping cool and it was sort of fun. KRO

Your directing your anger at the wrong peopel. It's the fault of those people who did a sickie who kept you waiting

Raters im not angry i got my ticket,Im just saying because the club could be bothered to let people know where to go to buy a ticket. :applause:

Funny thing is, I know someone else who was in that very queue you was in.

And, not surprisingly, he's telling a slightly different story. Only a slight difference, nut it makes a huge difference.
